The original Generac 73112 (73112B) was a very common gasoline carb used on a variety of RV generators: NP, QP, IM, Q, and Prime Pact units. Models: 00595-0-1, 00784-1-2, 00843-0, 00860-0, 00861-0, 09206-0, 09290-4, 09393-3, 09592-3-4-5, 09600-3-4-5.

The original carburetor # 73112B and the rebuild kit 075252 are both no longer available from Generac.
However, we do have this carburetor that is similar. (see photos)

This carb was designed for the same engine in a different application.  It will work and bolt up OK, but the linkages are a little different and the choke will need a spring to hold it open, etc.

It does require that you are able and willing to retrofit a little bit.  We will not be able to take it back once it is installed.

Again, it bolts right up and you can get it to run, but read below for the retro you may wish to do at your own risk.

The nipple for the gas inlet is for rubber fuel hose and is straight - not at an angle.

NOTE: The solenoid positive wire connects to wire #14 or the same wire that connects to the fuel pump, and the negative wire to ground or wire #0. (wire zero)

Includes mounting gasket.  If you need the choke solenoid, click here.

Testimonial from client:

The new aftermarket carb worked out well.  I used a 1/16" drill bit and drilled the hole for the choke return spring.

Note, be careful not to drill the hole too deep for the choke spring.  I marked the bit for depth using the old carb spring hole.

With a little work, this carb is ideal for anything that calls for the 73112.

This carb. was a perfect retro fit for my Generac model 9206-0 NP-66G. The work needing to be done was decribed perfectly in order to retrofit the carb for the application. My local generac dealer told me I would have to replace the entire generator because that carb was obsolete and they couldn't get a replacement. This saved me almost $5,000! The only differences between this carb and the OEM was that I needed to remove the butterfly valve arm and then remove the detente ball that causes this carb valve to lock open. It needed to move freely and have a spring return. I used the spring from the old carb and the drilled out the hole for the spring to set into and that worked fine. The other difference was the fuel intake angle but that was an easy fix by using flexible tubing. Once I finished the install, I fired it up and it runs like a champ! A Note to ASAP- this carb needs to be associated with the model 9206-0 online so that searchers can find it like me. You have the only solut

This is a good sub for the original. As in the previous review you need to remove the butterfly spring and ball (real easy), but my generac is on an rv that sucks fuel from the onboard fuel tank. This carb is apparantly set up for a gravity feed type tank. I had to add an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator set to two pounds (autozone for $25.00), otherwise the fuel pump is too strong and it overflows and floods the carb. After adding the regulator it works like a charm!

I've had major issues with my Generac NP-66G in my '96 Damon Intruder for about two years now. The power sagging even with no load on the generator and the transfer switch eventually jumping back to shore power due to low voltage. Since I've had to zip tie the choke shut to get the engine to stop surging, figured that had to be the problem since I'd eliminated all other possibilities...duh. I didn't bother to modify the choke on the new carb to make it work since I live in Southern California and I rarely go dry camping when its freezing cold 'cause my coach is insulated like a tin can. Plus, my choke linkage is so bent from me taking the original carb on and off of the engine about 5 TIMES in attempts to clean it, the choke solenoid won't pull it shut. The generator runs flawlessly now. Had I read the part where you have to hook up that solenoid on the float bowl to the fuel pump circuit, it would have saved me about 30 minutes of head scratching and swearing before I figured it out o
