PD9260 Converter / Charger for RV with Charge Wizard

The PD9260 converter is essentially the PD9160 with a built-in Charge Wizard. This 60 amp power converter is designed to provide quiet, reliable and filtered DC power to all recreational vehicle 12-volt lighting and appliance circuits. The PD9260 converter also provides safe and rapid recharging of RV batteries. Built-in features such as electronic current limiting, reverse battery protection, high voltage protection, low voltage operation, and over temperature shut down ensure long term reliability.

The built-in Charge Wizard is a microprocessor-controlled system that constantly monitors the battery voltage and use to ensure a rapid; yet safe, recharge. The Charge Wizard can select one of three charging voltages and one of four operation modes depending on the condition and use of the battery.

The lower voltage for Storage Mode prevents gassing and reduces water loss during long-term storage.

The integrated Charge Wizard's ability to change the output voltage of the converter will significantly reduce the amount of time it takes to recharge your RV battery as shown below. Without the Charge Wizard you would always be in the normal mode, which is a compromise.

13.6 Volts (Normal Mode) - The battery required 40 hours to return the battery to 90% of full charge and 78 hours to reach full charge. 

13.2 Volts (Storage Mode) - Required 60 hours to return the battery to 90% of full charge and 100 hours to reach full charge.
